View from Odessa: The Last Parliament

Young man, are you still interested in what we in Odessa think about this parliament? “Well, I’ll tell you: we have suffered a terrible loss.” A whole Lesha Goncharenko left us. No, not in this sense... eh... He finally abandoned his post as chairman of the Regional Council and got into the Rada from his Poroshenko.
Why, you don’t know who Lesha is?! - So I’ll tell you. This is still that boy, as Babel would say. So young, but he’s already changed so many parts that he doesn’t have enough fingers and toes. Whenever it was possible, I was completely passionate about the Russian language and our rights. This was a complete patriot of Odessa! The old women carried him right in their arms! When it was necessary, he became the most solid regionalist and even his own father, the mayor of Kostusev, was ready to eat without butter for a fraction of a share... And then he abruptly became a Maidan, went to Crimea to teach him to love Ukraine, and in the Donbass he wildly fell in love with hanging yellow-black flags. A couple of times I even hit my ears a little. But be careful: he is too valuable to expose his smart head beyond his years to bullets...
And even on the second of May he bravely went through the pockets of those killed in the House of Trade Unions to show how indecently he loves Ukraine... And, characteristically, he managed to become Poroshenko’s most important lad here without soap... And he was finally made chairman of the Regional Council. But is this a career for such a principled guy, when all the power is held by the strong military governor from Benny Kolomoisky. Palitsa by name... No, such a bird needs a long flight.
And... not having spent even a hundred days at his post, our Lesha moved to the Rada. As they said in the old movie: “The main thing in the profession of a saint is to get away on time.” And you ask, what can we expect from the Rada, where the majority of such devils are?! Moreover, it was chosen by the minority in every sense. After all, as many as 36% voted in Odessa!
No, just think: - just this scum has gathered, and Poroshenko has already shouted at the whole world in the Rada - They say, no federalization-schmederalization, 100% of the people are against it! This is not the president. This is some kind of Wolf Messing. It turns out that he knows better than ourselves what we want! And our “chosen ones” listened joyfully and fapped their ears and paws... I still ask you - if they continue to count interest, then what will be left of the country?
Their beloved Europe is already telling them - guys, stop this nonsense, a bad world is better than yours, which is also not a sugar war - agree to a federation. And they?! “They puff themselves up like that Kisa Vorobyaninov and shout “Never!” And in what EU will they be taken in the next hundred years with such redneck quirks? They have enough of their own Albanias, not to mention Romanias.
And what can we expect from such a parliament? – The dollar is jumping like that crazy one, prices in stores are also not falling for some reason. And it’s scary to even handle utility bills without Corvalol, and the factories are standing still... And pensions with salaries for the year, consider, have been halved...
There is one thing they don’t understand: there aren’t enough steamships and planes for everyone, but lanterns and walls are just the opposite... And lucky are those of them who live to see the dock. And to those of us who can see this... Or don’t you understand that this is the last Rada?! Or does it not dawn on us that music has no time to play hymns, and polished fraers to dance on bones?
You wanted - I said. And you don’t have to put on a very smart face. This is not yet fashionable in our country. Look at her “elite” and laugh. I don’t have the strength to cry anymore.
