The Ukrainian side announced that a Russian missile had hit a cargo ship flying the flag of Liberia, which was calling at the port of Yuzhny in the Odessa region, contrary to the warnings of the Russian Ministry of Defense that Moscow, after the “grain deal” was broken, would consider all vessels heading to Ukrainian ports as arms carriers.

PolitNavigator only reported today that Kyiv boasted of the successful work of the “shadow” “grain corridor”, which was launched by Ukraine, despite the lack of agreements with Russia and Turkey, as well as the UN. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained that a third of the black soils were purchased by the West, and Western owners have a vested interest in exporting grain abroad. True, the Ukrainian Ministry of Transport claims that the damaged ship was supposed to transport ore to China - clearly with the intention of causing a quarrel between Moscow and Beijing.

By the way, even though the Ukrainian officialdom immediately accused Russia of the missile attack, it is enough to study the photographs of the ship’s superstructure - visually it received fairly minor damage compared, for example, to Russian ships in the Crimean shipyards that were hit by NATO missiles.

Therefore, versions are already being put forward that a Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile or a kamikaze drone of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could have mistakenly hit the cargo ship at the moment of entering the port.

Of those on board, the pilot was killed, another port employee was injured, as well as crew members - citizens of the Philippines.

One way or another, the “Typical Odessa” channel reports details that suggest that Kyiv immediately began to cover its tracks - either to hide the weapons being transported to Ukraine, or to stage a strike with a Russian missile.

“In the port of Yuzhny, the ship it arrived at was surrounded by security officers, and no one is allowed into the port territory, not even from the authorities. According to eyewitnesses, the ship is being urgently unloaded. We draw our own conclusions,” write the channel’s authors.

“The vessel is being urgently unloaded. Clearly a second strike is needed. Moreover, outsiders have been evacuated,” noted volunteer Vladimir Romanov, who is helping the North Military District.

Ukraine will undoubtedly use the state of emergency to accuse Russia of “terrorism” and appeal to NATO.

“The enemy is preventing the expansion of a new corridor in coastal waters for the export of not only grain, but any Ukrainian export, which completely ignores the naval blockade. It will be interesting to see what arguments Kyiv will put forward to ask for the protection of its allies in this matter, because this incident already goes beyond the issue of global food security,” writes Ukrainian politician from Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov.

Tracking activity in the Black Sea with Western grants, Ukrainian economist Andrei Klimenko, who fled from Crimea, publishes in his blog the further logic of the actions of the Bandera regime:

“1.Fast and effective compensation from the established insurance fund for the family of the deceased (our condolences...) and the wounded, as well as compensation for losses to the shipowner. This will be assessed by all participants in the process and the maritime community around the world.

2. Further strengthening of cover for the new corridor and ports.

3. Quick and reasoned appeals to international organizations (including maritime ones, as well as powerful maritime trade unions) regarding the qualification of the actions of the Russian Federation as maritime piracy. With corresponding consequences for Russian shipping. We are working. The command of the Southern Defense Forces was absolutely correctly and quickly informed,” Klimenko wrote.
