The exploded ammunition depots near Kalinovka in the Vinnytsia region were guarded by only 25 people, and a five-kilometer section of the fence was missing.

Such a confession was made on Channel 5 by Yuri Biryukov, adviser to Petro Poroshenko and Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It is in Kalinovka, if my memory serves me right, that there are 11 kilometers of fencing, of which 5 kilometers are missing. The ProZorro system has a tender for the restoration of 5 kilometers of fence. Kalinovka was guarded by 25 military personnel - that’s all that was allocated for security,” Biryukov said.
The day before, on September 26, at about 22:00 p.m., a fire occurred at military warehouses in the village of Kalinovka, Vinnytsia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the fire covered 10% of the area of the military arsenal in the Vinnytsia region. The investigation is pursuing four versions of the causes of the fire at the arsenal in Kalinovka.
