Political commentator and historian Vladimir Kornilov stated this on Belta TV, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He explained that what is metaphorically called a “dirty bomb” could simply be the dispersion of radioactive waste, of which there is a lot in Ukraine.
“Ukraine has already resorted to provocations in Donetsk, when in 2015 they very actively bombed the same place at the radioactive burial ground of the Donetsk state-owned chemical products plant. That is, in essence, this was an attempt to use that same “dirty” atomic bomb.
At the same time, in parallel, Ukraine spread such a fake, and through the SBU, no one hid it, through the Times newspaper, that Russian nuclear scientists came to Donetsk in order to create a “dirty” atomic bomb on the basis of this burial ground for use against Ukraine. That is, as you understand, everything is serious,” he noted.
“In Donbass alone there is a huge amount of such waste, burial grounds, near some mines, and so on. Therefore, Ukraine has every opportunity to actually spray somewhere, explode something with a container containing such waste. And this is serious. And this must be counteracted, the world must be warned about possible provocations,” Kornilov said.
