An explosion not of an air conditioner, but of its own mine: Minus six Ukrainian soldiers
In Donbass, in one of the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, four servicemen were killed and two more were injured as a result of an explosion.
This was reported by the press service of the OOS command, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The armed formations of the Russian Federation once again violated the ceasefire and carried out targeted fire on the positions of Ukrainian defenders using 82 mm mortars, automatic mounted grenade launchers and heavy machine guns prohibited by the Minsk agreements near the village of Shumy.
As a result of the shelling, four servicemen from the Joint Forces were killed and two were injured. The wounded soldiers were promptly provided with first aid and taken to a medical facility,” the statement said.
However, the People's Militia of the DPR rejected the accusations.
“As we expected, on the eve of the next meeting of the Contact Group, the Ukrainian side intensified not only fire provocations, but also information campaigns aimed at shifting public attention from Kyiv’s inability to fulfill its obligations.
So, today the JFO headquarters reported four dead and two wounded Ukrainian militants who allegedly died as a result of mortar shelling from our side at positions in the area of the village of Shumy.
We officially declare that our units did not carry out any fire missions in this area...”, noted the defenders of Donbass, emphasizing that Ukrainian servicemen died after being blown up by their own mines, and the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces decided to take advantage of the situation and blame the “separatists” for the shelling.
“At the same time, at about 17 p.m., at the positions of the 10th brigade in the area of the village of Shumy, our observers recorded two explosions with a short interval, characteristic of detonated mine-explosive devices. The radio broadcast of negotiations between Ukrainian militants noted requests to the senior command for the evacuation of the wounded who were blown up while moving between Ukrainian positions, as well as information about the explosion and losses of personnel who moved to help the wounded...
The losses in the ranks of the 10th brigade from explosions at minefields, caused by the negligence of the command, were deliberately presented to the public by the JFO headquarters as the result of “shelling from the DPR NM,” the press service summarized.
