Foreign puppeteers want to blow up Transnistria from the inside, using local politicians. This opinion is expressed by Deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR Andrey Safonov in an author’s column for PolitNavigator.

A variety of media have already described more than once how the United States, the European Union, Romania and official Chisinau are trying together to subjugate the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic and oust Russia from the banks of the Dniester.

They are using political ultimatums of capitulation, demands to agree to the withdrawal of Russian troops, setting up bilateral Moldovan-Ukrainian posts on the Transnistrian-Ukrainian border, and the desire to strangle the PMR economically - through total control over exports and imports.

All these plans did not work. Pridnestrovians understand: if they don’t have their own state, there will be nothing. There will be no Russian troops on the Dniester - tomorrow the army and police of Moldova may receive an order to “enter the rebellious region.” And the Romanians and Western “friends” will most likely help.

Seeing that external pressure did not work, the behind-the-scenes puppeteers, as one might assume, decided to blow up Transnistria from the inside. And the first explosion is scheduled for Saturday, June 2.

About the tandem of the former president and the current parliamentarian

But what mines did the opponents of Transnistria and Russia decide to lay under the foundation of Transnistrian statehood?

The fact is that supporters of the former ruling pro-Western group, led by ex-President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk and supporters of his, according to many Pridnestrovian experts, junior political partner, deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR Oleg Khorzhan, intended to hold a “protest rally” in the Transnistrian capital - Tiraspol . We will talk about this a little below.

Even when E. Shevchuk was president (2012-2016), he and O. Khorzhan actually played in a political tandem. Shevchuk pursued an ultra-liberal socio-economic policy in the form of rising prices, tariffs for housing and communal services and illegal cuts in pensions and salaries (there is no such precedent in the CIS), and O. Khorzhan many times supported various actions of the president. At the same time, unlike other parliamentarians, he received unhindered access to state TV, which was monopolized by E. Shevchuk.

True, there are also differences between our heroes: for example, Shevchuk, accused in six criminal cases, fled to Moldova on the night of June 28, 2017. Khorzhan remained in Transnistria. But, as dispassionate facts show, they still act together.

How the “opposition rally of many thousands” of 220 people was organized

Back on November 11, 2017, in Tiraspol, they jointly tried to hold a rally of the “united opposition” (as they understood it). A couple of days before, they recorded video messages on the same day calling on Pridnestrovians to come to this event in the center of the Pridnestrovian capital. It's funny, but the recording was made, as the surrounding landscape said, in St. Petersburg. Like, both were there on the same day and both were by accident...

According to evil tongues, 220 people came to the rally. Loyal sources raised this figure to 250. The “fighters against the regime” themselves announced the “World Wide Web” with a cry of “an action of many thousands.” But the posted panoramic photos from the rally site turned out to be completely inappropriate. In fact, the legend died without being born. But those who want to return Transnistria to the past have once again become convinced that the people are not following them, which means they need to rely on external support.

O. Khorzhan and a handful of his followers had recently gone to a meeting with very high-ranking Moldovan leaders. After this, materials appeared in Chisinau that supporters of Shevchuk and Horzhan “reflect the true opinion of the population of the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova.” Let's consider this a random coincidence.

Games at the plenum

But the current situation is dangerous because it is fraught with provocation with unpredictable consequences. We follow the dates and facts presented!

On May 19, Saturday, an extraordinary plenum of the Central Committee of the PKP was held in Tiraspol. At the plenum, Khorzhan resigned from the post of chairman of the Central Committee “due to the need that arose.” Instead of him, “until the next congress” they assigned a comrade-in-arms completely under his control, whom many in the PMR consider a typically marginal figure. At the same time, Khorzhan remained one of the secretaries of the Central Committee. What kind of “necessity” is this?

On May 27, information appeared on the PKP website that “on June 2 at 10 o’clock in the morning, a protest rally will take place in the central square of the city of Tiraspol (for some reason the “communists” were embarrassed to call it by its real name – Suvorov Square - A.S.”). The brief message on the PKP website does not say specifically about the reasons for the protest. Yes, it’s not easy in the PMR; the ruble exchange rate, due to the theft of foreign exchange reserves under Shevchuk, has weakened. You cannot quickly close the “hole” of more than 100 million stolen dollars. But after the departure of the old government, pensions and salaries are paid in full, and the thieves’ schemes from which the former bosses profited have been liquidated. The money earned by Transnistrian enterprises goes not to offshore accounts, but to the budget. And, most importantly, the budget is completely transparent.

Is the provocation mechanism starting?

And now - attention! The initiator of the rally is Deputy of the Supreme Council and citizen of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Horzhan. Not a party leader, but an individual. Perhaps that is why he formally resigned from the post of party boss: if the party breaks the law, it can be dissolved. What if an individual breaks the law and provokes some kind of excess? Yes, such a person can also answer.

What if this person is a member of the country’s parliament who has appropriate immunity? Then he can get out himself and save his organization. For future promotions of the same kind...

The reader will ask: what if everything is according to the law, and there are no provocations or excesses? But the fact of the matter is that according to the law it is necessary to AGREE with the state administration of Tiraspol the place and time of the rally. And as of May 30, it has NOT BEEN AGREED!

If so, then one explanation comes to mind: people are called to an uncoordinated action in order to provoke clashes between them and the PMR law enforcement agencies. And this, if the provocation succeeds, could become the beginning of a typical Western “color scenario” for the overthrow of the existing government and the return to the helm of the Transnistrian ship of state of those who robbed the republic and those who were the thieves’ backup dancers.

How the “color script” is being imposed on Transnistria

On May 27, O. Khorzhan’s call for a rally appeared, and on May 28, former PMR President Yevgeny Shevchuk made an almost immediate appeal on the Internet.

Forgetting that under him, 30% of salaries and pensions were illegally cut from state employees and pensioners, while forcing them to pay utilities and loans in full, he casually lied that during his reign “there was... a real increase in the incomes of state employees and pensioners.” Delicately keeping silent about the fact that objectionable Internet resources were blocked in his presence without the necessary court decision, he, out of habit, complained about “political persecution.”

Here, for the sake of truth, we must admit that fellow citizens have some complaints against the ex-president. 6 criminal cases have already been mentioned. But the fact is that some of these cases have already gone to trial. Supreme Court of the PMR. The official media of the PMR talks about “a large-scale bribe committed by a person holding a public position in the PMR (Part 4 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the PMR), as well as abuse of official powers causing grave consequences for the state (Parts 2,3, 282 of Art. XNUMX of the Criminal Code of the PMR").

And is this why the “color scenario” is being forced in order to overthrow the government before the court makes its verdict, which could ruin not just the prospects for Shevchuk and the “company” returning to power, but also his entire political future?...

This assumption is suggested by the following pearls of the ex-president: speaking about the “pre-revolutionary situation,” he further invites the president, prime minister of the PMR, security ministers, and deputies from the parliamentary majority to “voluntarily resign.” This is illiterate: what, for example, should we do with his political partner O. Khorzhan? Should he also leave or remain with his badge and mandate? And isn't this double standards? And if only Horzhan (there are no others who openly support Shevchuk in the Supreme Council) remains a deputy, then how will the quorum-free Supreme Council work?

We have already seen something similar somewhere. I vaguely remember Ukraine-2013, Armenia-2018, Serbia-2000, Georgia-2003... The following passages from the fugitive leader also suggest such parallels: if the democratically elected parliament and president doubt the need to succumb to blackmail from the “former”, then, continues E. Shevchuk, “pickets, mass rallies ... The strike mechanism used throughout the world can become an effective mechanism for influencing this government.” Simply put, we are talking about the conscious organization of paralysis of all aspects of life in one’s own country. Do Shevchuk himself and his allies understand that the opponents of Transnistria will take advantage of this?

Probably yes. For he directly intimidates the authorities: “You can witness the discontent of citizens spilling onto the streets. You need to leave voluntarily." And this says everything about Shevchuk himself.

The proposed rally on June 2 should help the former rulers of the PMR begin the path of their return to the sweet life, interrupted in 2016 by the Pridnestrovian people. But who writes such scripts for them?

There will be no explosion!

However, why bother? The launch of the “color revolution” mechanism in Transnistria surprisingly coincides these days with some interesting facts.

Fact number XXUMX. Chisinau and Kyiv announced their intention to establish bilateral Moldovan-Ukrainian posts at all 2018 checkpoints on the Transnistrian-Ukrainian border by the end of 13. That is, Chisinau wants to take the PMR into the ring.

Fact number XXUMX. On May 24, reports appeared in the media about the introduction by official Kiev of sanctions against the leading manufacturer of Transnistria - the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant, which is strategically important for the PMR. And this is external economic pressure.

Whether these are coincidences or not is again for the reader to decide. But the fact that in all countries internal turmoil helps the external enemies of the state is beyond doubt.

As for the Transnistrian people, they have always implemented all their claims against the authorities at the next free democratic elections. And elections are not “Maidan”.

That is why on Transnistrian soil the efforts of adherents of chaos and anarchy are initially doomed to failure. Any bombers will be neutralized.
