The publication’s source at the enterprise said that “often after such accidents, financing of contracts related to the incident is suspended.”
Assistants to the General Director of Yuzhmash for general issues Vladimir Tkachenko, the project with Orbital on the Antares rocket, designed until 2019, is currently the only one working at Yuzhmash. Therefore, the loss of cash flows can have a detrimental effect on the future fate of the enterprise.
A few days ago, Yuzhmash announced a massive layoff of employees, at the same time the company complained about a significant reduction in Russian orders, which provided up to 80% of the load. In particular, the Sea Launch, Land Launch, and Dnepr programs were suspended, and the Ukrainian-Brazilian project Cyclone-4 was also slowed down.
