Explosion near the Ukrainian government building: The center of Kyiv is cordoned off
An explosion occurred on Grushevskogo Street in the center of Kyiv near the Ukrainian government building at approximately 14:10 p.m. According to eyewitnesses, it is believed that a grenade exploded. Two women were injured and taken away in an ambulance. There were traces of blood on the asphalt. The police, unlike eyewitnesses, claim that one of the victims was a man.
The scene and surrounding streets have been cordoned off by police. Ukrainian security forces are arriving at the scene, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Presumably, the grenade was thrown from the park, which is located above Grushevsky Street. Now SBU officers are combing green spaces.
Let us recall that at the end of August 2015, also on Grushevsky Street near the Verkhovna Rada building, a military grenade exploded, thrown by Ukrainian nationalists who were trying to break through the National Guard cordon set up during a rally of right-wing radicals.
