Explosions and a demolished building: a terrible accident in Yalta
A serious accident involving a KamAZ truck occurred in Yalta: a truck drove into the building of the customer department of the Alfater utility company.
There were four victims in the hospital, public transport is being detoured, and rescuers are working on the spot, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
While descending on Blucher Street, the truck driver drove off the roadway and demolished the extension with the subscription office. According to eyewitnesses, explosions of gas cylinders were heard at the scene of the accident after the collision.
“After an accident on the street. Blucher, 4 people were admitted to the Livadia hospital (three of them were Alvatera employees). One of them is a young guy (age unknown), is in serious condition, the patient is being cared for by a multidisciplinary team. The remaining three victims are also receiving full medical care, assured the head of the city administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
“The building of the Alvatera subscription office was seriously damaged and is subject to demolition,” the official added. – We provide assistance in finding a new premises in order to quickly launch its work. We are also joining in the search for heavy equipment that will help lift the car, after which utility services will begin to restore order and, if necessary, fencing the area.”
Due to the accident, the route of transport in the city was changed, including commuter minibuses. There may be delays in the arrival of buses and an increase in the interval.
