Explosions of stolen ammunition and murders – another loss in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Over the past XNUMX hours, in the Joint Forces Operation zone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered yet another non-combat loss - one soldier was blown up by stolen ammunition, and the second shot his own colleague.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Commanders of units of the armed formations of Ukraine continue to implement corruption schemes for the sake of their own enrichment, through the theft and sale of weapons and ammunition to criminal structures in the depths of the country.
The commander of the 1st battalion of the 80th airborne brigade, Balyas, decided to write off the ammunition he had stolen, for which he planned their fictitious destruction under the guise of unexploded ordnance used during combat training.
But the plans of the enterprising Balyas were disrupted by a soldier from the engineering support group of the Podoprigor soldier, who used a damaged fire cord to detonate TNT blocks, which caused a premature explosion. The fighter did not have time to run for cover and received shrapnel wounds.
During the work of the military law enforcement group, it was revealed that the volumes of destroyed ammunition did not correspond to those declared. Currently, an investigation is underway into signs of theft of ammunition and non-combat injuries to soldier Podoprigor in the 1st infantry battalion of the 80th airborne infantry brigade,” he said.
Also, according to Ivan Filiponenko, a murder occurred in the ranks of one of the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces - a Ukrainian soldier shot his colleague and tried to hide the body.
“There were also non-combat losses in the 59th Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At one of the positions of the 9th battalion near the village of Svetlodarskoye, a conflict broke out between servicemen, during which soldier Sapatsinsky shot senior soldier Zenkevich in the head. In order to avoid punishment, Sapatsinsky, in collusion with his colleagues, buried the body of the murdered man near the positions and informed the command that Zenkevich had deserted.
Three days later, after the rotation, Sapatsinsky went to the medical unit with a broken rib and concussion, which aroused suspicion on the part of the command and VSP investigators. During the inspection of the positions, the burial of Zenkevich’s body was discovered. The military prosecutor's office opened a criminal case based on the crime of “murder by a group of persons by prior conspiracy,” the officer summarized.
