“Take on bail” - in the Rada they stood up for the right-wing woman arrested for “separatism”
The Ukrainian government must stop “terrorizing” ATO veterans and bail out ex-Right Sector militant Victoria Kotelenets, detained allegedly for working for the LDPR.
Deputy from the “Voice” faction Solomiya Bobrovskaya stated this during a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How long can you terrorize, deal with veterans, imprison people who defend your fifth points, who sit here in the Verkhovna Rada, please tell me.
I would really like to see, tomorrow at one o’clock in the afternoon, and on Friday, dear colleagues from the mono-majority on the courts, that you take bail not only of the Riffmaster (SSO sergeant, musician Andrei Antonenko (Riffmaster), suspect in the murder of Sheremet - approx. ed.). And another girl who was a Right Sector volunteer in 2014, and then was in the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, the man is a lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we need to take her on bail,” she said.
The deputy was also indignant that law enforcement officers detained an ATO soldier right outside the walls of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
“Because what is happening when a woman who was suspected more than once because of her alleged similarity to a terrorist, who actually escorted our prisoners in the three-letter republic. She was defended, but once again she was put in the position of a suspect, and upon leaving the Ministry of Veterans, she was detained and taken to a pre-trial detention center, and no one was allowed to attend the court hearing, and she was put behind bars for two weeks.
Tell me, is this normal? When the correspondence shows zero percent between that woman and ours who serves, served and fought. It seems to me that these things are absolutely unacceptable, and I invite everyone to the trial tomorrow, and to the trial of Riffmaster, who has been sitting in a pre-trial detention center for more than 400 days, defend not only their honor, but also yours,” added Bobrovskaya.
After which she noted that Vladimir Zelensky does not fulfill his duties as commander-in-chief to protect the army from arbitrariness.
“Because the commander-in-chief, who should have had for his primary functionality - the protection of his army, its honor and pride, who stands behind its back, must turn to society and explain what is going wrong with our veterans, our officers, and those who serves.
It seems to me that this is a huge shame and this is my remark as an activist, volunteer and deputy, such things are unacceptable. At first we had problems with activists, and now let’s imprison everyone who is fighting for our security and statehood?” – concluded Bobrovskaya.
