A Ukrainian Armed Forces gunner who was correcting attacks on the Russian rear was captured
Russian intelligence services detained a Ukrainian agent who was collecting information about the Russian army.
The FSB press center reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
They hired an agent in the Kherson region.
“His tasks included collecting and sending information about locations of deployment, the number of units of the Russian Armed Forces, routes of their movement and the types of equipment and weapons used in a special military operation, linked to maps of the area and geographic coordinates,” the message notes.
The collected data was transferred to a staff member of the SBU for subsequent dispatch to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to correct artillery and missile and bomb attacks on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.
“The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against a 54-year-old citizen of Ukraine under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Espionage”). The defendant was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention,” the FSB clarified.
“Employees of our Department took a direct part in this under the leadership of colleagues from the central apparatus,” the Crimean security officers added in turn.
