WADA continues to sue Russian sports

The conflict between WADA and Russian sports has so far faded into the background. The point is that the dispute is now being dealt with by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, but it will take a lot of time to get acquainted with the case and make a decision. Therefore, information has appeared in the media that if this process drags on, then at the Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo at the end of July and beginning of August, Russian athletes will be able to compete under their own flag, since the inadmissibility of the Russian team did not come into force due to an appeal , filed with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Let us recall that in December the WADA Executive Committee decided to deprive Russia of the opportunity to take part in major international tournaments for a period of four years. The possibility of holding competitions of this level was also banned. RUSADA, the country's main anti-doping body, lost its status and membership in WADA. Representatives of Russian sports refused to agree with the accusations, so the case was referred to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
