“I was just released. Tomorrow is the trial,” Ukrayinska Pravda quotes him as saying. According to Alexey Goncharenko, he is charged with disobedience to authorities. “Although I did not show any disobedience,” he said.
The people's deputy claims that after his arrest he was beaten. He asked to call a doctor, but this was never done. “They slipped me some kind of protocols, they scared me that I would never get out again, that this was not the Maidan for me, and that the person who spoke to me had a trigger callus on his finger. I don't know who it was. There were about 15 of them. There was one FSB agent, there was police. They were all in civilian clothes. One of them told me that they wanted to find out the question of my involvement in the events of May 2 in Odessa. There were no more questions.
When I was still being dragged to the police station, some group of activists chased us and shouted that this was the strangler of Odessa,” said Goncharenko.
He clarified that the court hearing will take place on Monday at 15:XNUMX Moscow time.
“Our Alexey Goncharenko is already on the territory of the Ukrainian Embassy in Russia. I just had a telephone conversation with him. He says he feels better than he did a year ago in Crimea. The Consul General and the lawyer are now next to him, providing all the necessary assistance,” Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wrote in turn on his Facebook page.
