"I'm Jewish. Russians will have to be evicted from Crimea” – Ulitskaya
The writer Lyudmila Ulitskaya, who fled to the West and is still not recognized as a foreign agent, claims that Crimea was populated by marginalized people and former criminals from Russia.
She stated this in a conversation with Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called him on behalf of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andrei Ermak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russians who came to Crimea are people, as a rule, without roots. People came to Crimea from Russia who were poorly settled in their own country, who had come out of prison, these were largely asocial people. This scar remained for many years,” Ulitskaya said.
The writer, born in Bashkiria, calls herself “partly Crimean” and wants the peninsula to be independent, but at the same time she is calm about the idea of eviction of all Russians from Crimea.
“What to do, that’s the story. I am Jewish by nationality. Some peoples will also have to move along the path of resettlement, searching for a home and new roots. What can you do about it,” Ulitskaya said.
