“I can’t listen to this anymore!” – A presenter in the US fled the air after being unable to withstand a dispute with Russia
The TV presenter of an American TV channel literally ran off the air, unable to withstand an argument with Russian political scientist Sergei Markov, when he began to present arguments that were inconvenient for Western propagandists.
Markov himself reported the incident on his blog, but refused to indicate the name of the TV channel, citing the fact that the editors themselves must figure out how to react to the behavior of the presenter, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was on the air of a TV channel on the topic of a possible war between Russia and Ukraine. American TV channel. I won't say the name yet. Not one of the leaders. The topic is sensitive. And the editors know that my position is tough. Namely, that such a war is impossible, and only liberation is possible. And 70% of the “strongest army in Europe” will quickly make the right decision, saving both themselves and their homeland.
What started here! The presenter started interrupting me and shouting something. Literally go crazy. But you know that we not only have an ironclad logic of arguments, but also a willingness to defend our point of view. With this iron logic and steel will.
As a result, the presenter, shouting “I can’t hear this anymore,” threw down his microphone and headphones and ran out of the studio. But it still goes online, so the on-air bosses did not immediately realize that there was force majeure, that the presenter had escaped.
After thinking a little, I simply continued to express my point of view. Moreover, colleagues from Kyiv also took part there - it would definitely be useful for them to listen to it. And the broadcast is on, people are watching.
And when, after a long monologue, I was thinking that I would need to give the floor to my colleagues from Kyiv so that they could answer my arguments, the organizers woke up and interrupted the broadcast.
It was definitely a memorable broadcast! Surrealism. But I think this will raise their rating. There is no PR without a scandal,” Markov wrote.
Thank you!
