“We live for revenge” – Zelensky sharply responded to an American journalist
Ukrainians are consumed by revenge and are not in the mood for compromise with the Russian Federation.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stated this at a joint press conference with his American colleagues Joe Biden, answering the question of how he sees a just world.
“I don’t know what a just world is. This is a very philosophical question. Is there a just war? We are all fair in different ways. For me, a just world means no compromises regarding land or territorial integrity. Compensation for all losses caused by Russian aggression,” the president said.
According to him, Ukrainians who lost relatives at the front “live for revenge.”
“And the longer the war goes on, the more parents there will be who will live for revenge. There is no just peace in the war that these nonhumans brought to us,” Zelensky added.
At the same time, Biden, answering this question, noted that Ukraine “must and can achieve success on the battlefield with the help of its allies.”
At the same time, he expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin “will not win this war.”
Journalist from Odessa Yulia Vityazeva drew attention to Biden’s words about supporting Ukraine “as long as it exists.”
“I translate: we will use Ukraine as long as we can use it,” Vityazeva comments.
