I am from Odessa Mishka - Saakashvili will personally fight Putin in Ukraine
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili intends to personally defend Odessa with arms in hand when “Putin wants to take it.”
He stated this in an interview with the liberal Russian radio station Ekho Moskvy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Putin wants to break through a window to Crimea and take Odessa back (as he believes, back). He believes that this is the same part of the Russian imperial project as Sevastopol, then all of Ukraine will stand up. I personally, being an Odessa resident, will defend Odessa to the end. And many of my friends are of the same mind,” Saakashvili said.
The presenters began to clarify who he was ready to shoot at: Russians or Ukrainians from Donbass. Saakashvili was embarrassed.
“We are talking about self-defense of Ukraine. Each of us will find our own method to protect the state of Ukraine, our home. If Putin comes to my house, and my house is in Odessa now, of course, we will find ways to defend ourselves,” Saakashvili said.
He clarified that he is now thinking “about reforms, and not about grabbing a weapon and shooting at someone.”
