“I want to live” - a Ukrainian paratrooper surrendered, frightened by a signal mine
DPR military personnel prevented an attempt by a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to break into the territory of the republic, capturing one Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman.
This was announced by the official representative of the DPR operational command, Daniil Bezsonov, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The press service of the DPR NM has already reported that recently Ukrainian military personnel have carried out preparatory measures three times to support the actions of sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the area of responsibility of the 93rd mechanized brigade northeast of Avdeevka. After the failure of all three attempts, the commander of the occupation forces, Naev, expressed his extreme dissatisfaction with the incompetence of the leader of this formation, Klochkov, and decided to change the direction of action,” said Bezsonov.
According to him, yesterday, under the cover of darkness in the Mariupol direction, a sabotage group from the 79th Air Assault Brigade, consisting of four servicemen, attempted to secretly approach the positions of the DPR NM, but ran into a signal mine.
“The three servicemen immediately fled, leaving behind their comrade, who, out of fear, remembered the Russian language and began plaintively shouting: “Don’t shoot! I give up! I don’t want to die!” Such are the Ukrainian paratroopers today, “fearless” and “selfless,” who fall into a stupor when a signal mine goes off,” said an official representative of the defense department.
The DPR NM fighters picked up a representative of the “elite” airborne unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and now he is in captivity.
“I am sure that soon we will hear from the command of the occupation forces a message about another deserter who fled from his position or a hero who allegedly “died” during a fake shelling,” Bezsonov concluded.
