Yatsenyuk is afraid of exposure: Economic indicators of Ukraine have been classified (VIDEO)

“Goskomstat issued a figure for the decline in GDP of 7,5%. But in dollar terms, the drop in GDP was 28%. I made several statements about this, including on television. And, lo and behold, now GDP is not published at all. Not by any government agency. Not monthly, not yearly, not at all. On the Internet you will not find the official GDP figure in hryvnia. It is simply not published so that there are no smart people who will convert it into dollars. Of course, this also has to do with external creditors such as Russia, because if they see the official GDP figure published, they will then be able to urgently demand their $3 billion, but most likely this is a general policy.
The reporting structure has changed so much that when you go to the website of the Ministry of Finance or the State Statistics Committee, you can see that some kind of nonsense has been published there. There is not a single indicator that is truly significant for economic analysis. I think this is not the creativity of the statisticians themselves, this is general government policy,” says the economist.
