Yatsenyuk wants to fight with Russia, not repay debts and get cheap gas
Kyiv, August 25 (Navigator, Yuri Kovalchuk) – Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s statement at the end of last week that Ukraine lacks about 5 billion cubic meters of gas for the winter, and Kiev will try to purchase them from Russia, most likely means that the government will to attract for these purposes private companies - intermediaries, for example, the structures of the gas oligarch Dmitry Firtash, which in previous years already received fuel directly from the Russian Federation, bypassing the state-owned Naftogaz.
The Kommersant newspaper writes about this, citing a source in the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy.

According to him, Kyiv expects to achieve a temporary price of $350-360 per thousand cubic meters.
Officials believe that if a private company, rather than a state company, negotiates purchases, Kyiv will avoid talking about repaying its debt to Moscow.
However, a source at Gazprom said that Ukraine will certainly be asked to pay off its debt of more than $5 billion.
The gas issue should be raised tomorrow at a meeting in Minsk, where Petro Poroshenko, representatives of the EU and the Customs Union will arrive.
