The corresponding order No. 439-r dated May 14 was published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to the document, the project will last four years: from 2015 to 2018. It is planned to spend more than 4 billion hryvnia.
The project provides for the digging of anti-tank ditches, the installation of non-explosive engineering barriers, the fortification equipment of strong points and positions, the installation of control strips, and the laying of a rolling road.
As the press secretary of the State Tax Service previously reported, for the current year, 300 million hryvnia are allocated for the construction of the first stage of engineering work for the implementation of the “Wall” project. At the end of 2014, the State Border Service received 235 million hryvnia, of which only 163 million hryvnia were used.
At the moment, more than 137 km of anti-tank ditches, over 86 km of engineering barriers have been equipped on the Ukrainian-Russian section, and more than 1 thousand km of control strips have been updated.
