Yatsenyuk: “Under no circumstances” Ukraine will pay $500 for gas
Kyiv, June 03 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Under no circumstances will Ukraine pay $500 for gas, as required by the current gas contract with Russia.
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“Under no circumstances will Ukraine pay $500,” he said. The Ukrainian official considers a fair price of $268 per thousand cubic meters.
“We will sue Gazprom in Stockholm. The judicial procedure is not a month or even a year. But we don’t see any other way,” Yatsenyuk added.
According to him, Ukraine now has about 12 billion cubic meters of gas in storage.
“To get through the winter, we need another 7 billion minimum,” the official said.
Yatsenyuk said that until the end of this week, negotiations with Gazprom will continue, which has so far postponed cutting off gas supplies to Ukraine. However, Yatsenyuk does not rule out that it will not be possible to reach an agreement.
“The Russian Federation will fight Ukraine with everything they can,” the prime minister explained.
