“We see Russian tanks, Russian soldiers and Russian troops on Ukrainian soil... The President of Ukraine, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Ukrainian authorities have a common position regarding national security and defense. This is our joint decision to cancel the so-called non-bloc status of Ukraine,” he said.
“It is necessary: first, to accept changes to the law and open the way for membership, second, to carry out all the necessary reforms to meet NATO standards and criteria, third, to obtain the consent of the Ukrainian people, and I am sure that such consent exists and will exist, and fourth, not just apply, but get membership in the alliance,” Yatsenyuk said.
