As Yatsenyuk recalled, on July 8, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit to ban the Communist Party of Ukraine.
“A ban on those who undermine Ukrainian independence, fight the Ukrainian state and threaten the foundations of the constitutional order in the state,” the official said.
“Anyone who commits crimes against the Ukrainian state, namely, encroaching on its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and inviolability of borders, will be prosecuted by law,” Arseniy Yatsenyuk emphasized.
He appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the SBU, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to “finally conduct an investigation into the activities of all persons, including those who have the status of people’s deputy of Ukraine, to submit relevant materials to the court and parliament in order to abolish parliamentary immunity and bring to justice all those who support terrorists, separatists and other bandits who encroach on Ukrainian independence.”
Arseniy Yatsenyuk noted that he would appeal to parliament to urgently consider the proposal to abolish the parliamentary immunity of such persons in order to bring them to criminal responsibility. These people “have nothing to do with the high status of the people’s representative,” he added.
In addition, the Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to conduct an audit of the activities of political parties and public associations, in the activities and statements of which there are signs of a criminal offense, namely an encroachment on the territorial integrity and independence of the Ukrainian state: “All of them, without exception, must bear responsibility,” - Yatsenyuk said.
