According to him, among the objects falling under privatization, there are a number of research institutes in Kyiv, which may be of interest to investors only because of the land in the Ukrainian capital.
“This is a stupid sell-off that will end with no new jobs. For example, they want to sell several dozen research institutes. None of the owners are interested in them - they are interested in property in Kyiv and regional centers, land. There will be office centers there, and there will be no more jobs, no research from these institutes that could be useful for the state,” says Gritsenko.
According to him, the authorities, taking advantage of the crisis, are selling the remains of state property to oligarchs from their “families” for next to nothing.
“This is an absolutely clear scam. Western investors will not come to us. We understand perfectly well that what will be sold now in a crisis will be sold at a price 3-5 times cheaper than it would be in stable conditions,” Gritsenko said.
