Yatsenyuk will cancel annual assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War
Kiev, March 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The package of so-called “anti-crisis measures” presented today by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk to save the Ukrainian economy provides for a reduction of UAH 2,6 billion in payments to victims of the Chernobyl accident, as well as annual assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
Communist Party leader Petro Symonenko stated this in the Verkhovna Rada.

“Annual veterans’ assistance will be canceled altogether - this is how we are preparing for the 70th anniversary of the Victory,” he said.
Simonenko confirmed that the sharp reduction in benefits in Ukraine is happening “at the request of the IMF” - for the sake of obtaining a new loan.
At the same time, the deputy added, “the price of energy resources is increasing,” “the program for children suffering from tuberculosis is being reduced by a third,” and “free meals for children at school have been cancelled.”
Simonenko believes that the so-called. saving the economy “was carried out at the expense of needy citizens.”
