So Yatsenyuk reacted to today's news about the collapse of the parliamentary coalition and the subsequent failure of the vote in Parliament for laws developed by the government.
In particular, parliament today failed several important laws - on the transfer of GTS under the control of US and EU companies. In addition, deputies did not accept amendments to finance the continuation of hostilities in Donbass.
“The laws that would fill the revenue side of the budget have failed... and who wants to go to elections and at the same time vote for unpopular laws?! ...There is nothing to pay a soldier, a policeman, a doctor, there is nothing to refuel an armored personnel carrier, no decision has been made on how to fill the gas transportation system in order to survive the winter, in order to get rid of Russian gas dependence!” – Yatsenyuk began to lament upon arriving at the Rada hall.
“Now there is applause in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. This is who won, this is who is celebrating, this is who will bank today,” the official continued.
“History will not forgive us for this,” he added.
“I am announcing my resignation due to the collapse of the coalition and the blocking of government initiatives. Glory to Ukraine!" – Yatsenyuk concluded.
Speaker Alexander Turchynov then called on the deputies to urgently decide on the candidacy of a new – “technical” prime minister.
