Kyiv, February 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Treasury of Ukraine is absolutely empty - there is no money to pay benefits and repay loans. The country will be transferred to the most severe austerity regime since independence.
This was stated by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, nominated by the new ruling coalition for prime minister.

“Unemployment and investment withdrawal are growing at a galloping pace in the country,” he said. Yatsenyuk clarified that now the state must pay citizens 12 billion hryvnia, but it is not in the treasury.
In addition, Ukraine owes $1,8 billion to Russia for gas. And China filed a lawsuit for the return of $3 billion, “which were received under government guarantees from China.” “The location of 3 billion has not been established,” Yatsenyuk said.
He admitted that the new government would make “extremely unpopular decisions on subsidies, tariffs, and cuts in social programs.”
“We don’t have the money to pay subsidies in full,” Yatsenyuk admitted.
After that, he promised to quickly restore order on the streets. “Anyone who is on the street with a weapon is prosecuted by law. The safety of citizens is issue number 1,” Yatsenyuk assured.
He promised that integration into the EU would be a priority for the new government. “Ukraine will become part of the EU,” Yatsenyuk promised.
He appealed to Russia not to support separatists and ex-officials against whom cases have been brought. Yatsenyuk assured that “Ukraine wishes the best for Russia.”
“Russians, don’t fight us. We are friends, we are partners, we must go together,” he said.
Yatsenyuk also promised to withdraw from participation in the presidential race. “I am not going to run for president of Ukraine and am giving up my mandate as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada,” he said.
