Yatsenyuk advised Poroshenko’s replacement to “promise less to voters”

The former head of the Ukrainian government and leader of the Popular Front, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, believes that the future president of Ukraine should promise fewer promises to voters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus”.

“The new president will have an incredible burden of responsibility. Russian aggression is here to stay. Crimea will subsequently be occupied by Russia. The country’s financial problems will remain, the insane labor migration will not go away, the lack of cheap and long-term money for developing business, the economy, investments, etc. The new president will face the same thing that every person who receives power faces: inflated expectations.” “- said Yatsenyuk.

At the same time, he noted that every Ukrainian expects that with a change in the personality of the head of state, the country will also change. However, in his opinion, the country “cannot depend on one person, because this person alone is not able to do even what he promises.”

“We need to promise less,” Yatsenyuk concluded.
