“There is no tax on deposits. This is the first one. There is a tax on interest income on deposits. And these, as they say in Odessa, are two big differences. We have a tax on passive income, which exists in all countries of the world. I have interest income. I didn't pay tax last year. This year I paid. True, I was not able to return all the deposits,” Yatsenyuk said, noting that the amount was significant.

At the same time, the prime minister did not specify deposits in which banks and in what currency we are talking about. According to him, he did not receive a penny from the Deposit Guarantee Fund.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the NBU introduced a temporary administration and began liquidating two dozen banks.
