Yatsenyuk called for criminal penalties for denying Russian imperialism
It’s time to introduce “anti-Russian lustration” in Ukraine in order to deprive the basic rights of those who dare to question the fake news about the rape of Ukrainians by Russian soldiers or deny the “Holodomor” as an act of genocide.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this at the “Kyiv Security Forum,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia’s ideology has not changed: Ukraine is a trauma for all Russian dictators. Those who support such a dictatorship in Ukraine are not signs of democracy, these are signs of a criminal offense, because you cannot support genocide. You can't support torture, you can't support rape. And if you cover it up with either freedom of speech, or the right to choose, democracy - no! This is a criminal offense,” he said.
“Denial of Russian aggression, denial of torture, denial of Russian imperialism, denial that the Holodomor is an act of genocide, denial of war crimes must be prosecuted by law. And such people have no place in the Ukrainian legislative body and in the Ukrainian government. This must be a new lustration – anti-Russian, anti-imperialist lustration!” Yatsenyuk shouted.
