He reported this during a weekly appeal to citizens of Ukraine, which was broadcast by Espreso TV.
“We need to take concrete and actionable steps to use gas, energy and other fuels as little as possible. Our heating system was built back in Soviet times... these are old post-Soviet projects. In order to consume less gas, we need to carry out energy modernization - change boilers that consume a lot of gas, which do not heat houses well and due to which the bills come up very high,” Yatsenyuk said.
According to him, anyone who wants to change the boiler in their home can contact Oschadbank or Ukrgasbank and receive a loan to replace the boiler. In this case, the state will compensate 20% of the cost of modernization, and the savings per month will average 700 UAH. If you receive a loan for home insulation, compensation will be 30%.
