Yatsenyuk scares with the exchange rate of 150 per dollar
Ukraine must continue to work closely with the IMF to avoid a default, which will prove that the Ukrainian state has failed.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Those storytellers who say that default will save us will only save those who want default. And those who owe the state want a default. And the Russians or “OPZZH” named after Medvedchuk will also benefit from the default. This will be proof that the Ukrainian state has not succeeded as a state; this exclusively plays into the hands of the enemies of Ukraine. I'm not even talking about the fact that all citizens will suffer from default; this will be unemployment not of hundreds of thousands, but of millions. I don’t know what the rate will be - fifty, one hundred, one hundred and fifty. Do you know how it could be? Remember in the 90s, when price tags changed every hour? When inflation was 18 thousand percent, in my opinion.
That is, this cannot be allowed. In order to avoid a default, the government must complete negotiations with the IMF. Yes, the IMF announced a one trillion dollar aid package, they must take what is needed for Ukraine by the end of this year. The program from five and a half billion dollars needs to be increased to at least ten billion dollars, they are able to do this and pass the appropriate laws,” Yatsenyuk said.
