Yatsenyuk scares the West with disaster and begs to save Ukraine
Today, the very existence of the independent Ukrainian state is under threat.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this during an online discussion on the Open Ukraine Internet channel, ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said.
“What is at stake now? The very existence, independence, sovereignty of Ukraine. And when we talk about the price that Russia must pay in the event of an invasion, I would like to look at it from the other side. If the West does not support Ukraine, then it will be a disaster not only for us, but for the entire Western world,” the Ukrainian politician believes.
“If we try to contain Russia with some conventional measures, we will not succeed, because they are very strong, and Putin knows what options are being considered, what options are on the table. We must show strength and determination in our response to a likely Russian invasion,” Yatsenyuk said.
At the same time, he says that Ukraine needs to become a member of NATO and the EU now and obtain lethal weapons for its army.
