Yatsenyuk finally decided to spend money on the construction of a new memorial at Babi Yar
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk believes that a new Memorial to the victims of the tragedy should be built in Babi Yar.

He stated this during a meeting of the Ministry of Culture.
Yatsenyuk noted that the 75th anniversary of the tragedy is approaching, and for some reason it is necessary to announce a tender and begin design work.
“The time has passed for the construction of a new memorial at Babi Yar. I ask you to create an appropriate competition commission, we will look for funding together,” he said.
The head of government also instructed the Ministry of Culture to create (literally) an organizing committee to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy.
Yatsenyuk did not specify why exactly he is not satisfied with the memorial to the victims of the tragedy that already exists in Babi Yar. It remains to be assumed that the prime minister is simply in a hurry, before his expected resignation, to “spend” budget money on the next “construction project of the century” such as the infamous “wall” with Russia.
