Ukrainian business will have to “give away their last shirt” without receiving anything in return, since the main challenges for entrepreneurs will not be the war and the crisis, but taxes, the publication writes.
“Having decided to attract UAH 2015 billion to the 98 budget. “More than in 2014, the government has broken many entrepreneurs, since it will be taxpayers, and not the Cabinet of Ministers, who will implement ambitious plans to fill the state treasury,” the article says.
According to the author, now Ukrainian business will have to “give away their shirt off their backs” without receiving anything in return.
“It’s bad that the government continues to think in fiscal rather than economic logic. We need to start not from the level of taxation that allows the economy to survive, but from the actually calculated amount of tax revenue. But budget expenditures are again taken as a basis, and then the tax standards necessary to collect such an amount are established,” says Valery Pekar, co-founder of the “New Country” project.
He noted that the result of this “thinking” could be a terrible fiscal crisis that will occur in the country in early spring.
To avoid this, Pekar believes that the Ukrainian government needs to immediately launch economic development.
