Yatsenyuk demands an immediate “summit of allies” to help Ukraine
The USA, Great Britain, Germany and France are obliged to take part in a summit initiated by Ukraine, where Western assistance to Kyiv and the Ukrainian army will be discussed.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this during the Kyiv Security Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At the present stage, the Ukrainian government must urgently initiate a summit of Ukraine’s allies. A summit of allies with the participation of the USA, Great Britain, and necessarily Germany and France, with the participation of all Western countries that should support the Ukrainian state,” the ex-prime minister said.
“As a result of this summit, there should be a new agreement - not a new Budapest Memorandum, but a new agreement between the allies on support, protection and assistance to Ukraine and the Ukrainian army. Because our allies must clearly understand: by defending Ukraine, each of them defends their countries, and we all together defend freedom and democracy in the world against Putin’s dictatorship and authoritarianism,” Yatsenyuk said pathetically.
