Yatsenyuk demands oligarchs to share money

“The country is actually in a state of war. The economy is military. There are no experts. For 23 years we had no experience in how to shoot, no experience in how to build armed forces. There was a lot of experience of corruption, bad governance, sitting on two chairs between Russia and the EU. Therefore, there are several basic things in economics. We have expenses that we didn't expect. Just yesterday the government decided to allocate 9,1 billion for security. We have raised rent payments for the oligarchs. We spent three months on this.
The second unpopular decision is 1,5% (military levy - editor's note). I demand that the Ukrainian oligarchs, without naming names, understand their responsibility. There was a time to take money, now it is time to give money. They will be happy to pay taxes,” Yatsenyuk said.
According to him, a program of reforms and overcoming the crisis, prepared with the participation of leading scientific institutes, will be presented in the near future.
As Navigator reported, in July the Verkhovna Rada satisfied the demands of Arseniy Yatsenyuk and adopted amendments to the budget law, as a result of which every resident of Ukraine will lose 1,5% of their salary for the sake of a military operation in the Donbass.
