This was stated by Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk in an interview with the German newspaper Handelsblatt.

“We will declare a moratorium on debt payments and will not service the loan,” he said. Yatsenyuk stressed that Ukraine “cannot treat Russia differently than other international creditors.”

“We offer Russia the same conditions. The deadline for reaching agreement is October 29,” he noted.

He also called the loan provided to Kiev by Moscow “in reality a bribe from Russia,” which former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, according to him, received to stop the signing of an association agreement with the EU.
