“It’s clear to me what Putin’s ultimate goal is - he doesn’t just want to take Donetsk and Lugansk, he wants to take all of Ukraine, he wants to restore the Soviet Union. He wants to capture Donetsk and Lugansk, and from there - make a corridor to Odessa, Kherson and Transnistria,” he said at the 11th meeting of the “Yalta European Strategy”.
“Russia is a threat to world order. First he decided to annex Crimea, then he wanted a frozen conflict to arise. Then he will want to destroy Ukraine as an independent country,” Yatsenyuk prophesies.
At the same time, he stated that NATO is the only way to protect Ukraine, but he believes that Ukraine will not become a NATO member in the short term.
“NATO is not ready to accept Ukraine,” the prime minister noted.
As PolitNavigator reported, it previously became known that the agreement between Ukraine and the EU was frozen for a year.
