“The fate of Mr. Yatsenyuk may be decided in the coming days at one of the daily meetings of the “coalition council” - the four factions that make up the parliamentary majority,” the newspaper notes.

At the same time, the publication’s interlocutor in the AP says that the resignation of the prime minister has been brewing for a long time, and the other day the head of the BPP faction in the Rada, Yuriy Lutsenko, promised “a very tough conversation with the prime minister” for failures in the economic sphere.

In this situation, as the newspaper’s source in the AP explained, the president can make “a completely logical move” - blame the prime minister for the failure of economic policy, making it clear to voters that their voice has been heard.

The publication's informed interlocutors in Kiev call Finance Minister Natalya Yaresko the most likely candidate for the post of prime minister, who, “until today, has not declared herself to be an independent politician and the president may not fear competition from her - at least for now.”

“It seems that Yatsenyuk himself understands the inevitability of his departure, and therefore he has sharply tightened the tone of his statements, including those addressed to Russia. This will allow him to subsequently claim that he was removed for patriotism,” Oleg Lyashko’s Radical Party, which left the coalition, told the publication.

The government of Ukraine is also aware of the threat of resignation hanging over the prime minister.

“For obvious reasons, no one informed us officially about plans to replace the prime minister. But rumors on this matter naturally reach us,” one of the Rada deputies from the “People’s Front” commented on the situation. “Attempts to make Yatsenyuk the only scapegoat are not entirely fair play on the part of Poroshenko’s entourage. The Prime Minister and the President worked as a team and carried out reforms in concert. Moreover, when at one time Yatsenyuk expressed a desire to resign, it was the president who dissuaded him from doing so. I think that this time Poroshenko will back down at the last moment, fearing the collapse of the coalition and the inevitable early elections in this case.”
