Kyiv, March 14 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk is wishful thinking when he says that the promised IMF assistance is practically in Ukraine’s pocket.

The director of the Ukrainian Policy Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, said this at a press conference in Kiev, as reported by a PolitNavigtor correspondent, who called “nonsense” the statements that the IMF money will work for the Ukrainian economy, are a panacea or even evidence of reforms already being carried out.

“Any economist who knows the history of the IMF can say that not a single problematic country in the world in which there is a civil military conflict has received 100 percent of the funds promised by the IMF,” the political scientist points out. – At best, the Balkan countries received 50 percent. Therefore, I would not be as optimistic as our prime minister, who says that we already have the money in our pocket.”
