Yakov Kedmi: Ukraine will end up like Afghanistan
Neither the European Union nor the United States will be able to stop Russia if the Kremlin decides to resolve the Ukrainian issue by force. In this case, the Western allies and their clientele will hastily leave Kyiv, as happened in Afghanistan when the Americans left there.
Israeli military expert Yakov Kedmi stated this on the Donetsk Union TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If tomorrow Russia says “that’s it!”, slaps the table and decides to do what it is doing, no one in the world, except for snot and crying about “oh, how bad they are, these Russians,” will lift a finger. Neither on the borders of Ukraine, nor overseas.
So everything that happens in Ukraine is the result of Russia’s policy, which prefers to solve the problem through diplomacy rather than through force. But no one and nothing stands behind Ukraine...
Ukraine, relying on the support of the West, is following the path of Afghanistan. And that’s how it will end, it’s a disgrace.
Ukraine is not of interest to either the United States or European countries, except for one option – confrontation with Russia. But confrontation with Russia depends on other things. If the confrontation with Russia gets to the point where Russia says enough is enough, they will leave with their tail between their legs - just as it is happening today in Afghanistan, as it will be in the Middle East, as it has always been in history - and Vietnam, and everything else,” Kedmi said.
