Yalta doctor caught taking bribes for providing fictitious certificates to obtain Russian citizenship

Simferopol, March 02 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – In Yalta, a criminal case has been opened against a doctor at the traumatology and orthopedic department of the city clinic.

This was reported by the press service of the Crimean prosecutor's office.

The doctor is charged with two counts of receiving bribes for drawing up and issuing false medical documents confirming the fact that Ukrainian citizens applied to the clinic in 2013 to confirm the fact of permanent residence in Crimea as a basis for obtaining Russian citizenship.

The amount of illegally obtained funds amounted to 8,5 thousand rubles.

The doctor’s actions are qualified under Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe by an official for illegal actions).
