Yalta needs to be put in order - architectural monuments are being destroyed in the center of the resort capital
In Yalta, part of the facade of a historic building on the embankment, put up for sale, collapsed.
Cultural heritage site of the late 17th century on the Embankment named after. Lenin, house 154 was previously valued at XNUMX million rubles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Eyewitnesses filmed the fall of a pilaster of a historic mansion. There were no casualties. However, the Crimean prosecutor's office decided to check how the balance holder complies with the legislation on the protection of cultural heritage monuments.
In the register of historical monuments, the object is listed as a “tenement house with shops.” Initially, it was the dacha of Elizaveta Myasoedova, the wife of the outstanding realist artist Grigory Myasoedov. The Darsana dacha was used as an apartment building. The Myasoedovs’ heirs sold the house to merchant Ivan Tikhomirov, who rebuilt “Darsana”, turning it into “Villa Elena”.
Now the building is assigned to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Solnechnaya Tavrika”. This company prepared documents for the sale of the monument at an auction approved by the Council of Ministers. Along with it, the corner building on Lenina/Morskaya, to which Yalta architect Nikolai Krasnov had a hand, will go under the hammer.
Let us remind you that Krasnov’s own mansion was demolished in May of this year by the new owners of the former Zarya boarding house, while Yalta local historians tried in vain to include it in the list of newly identified cultural heritage sites.
Today's Yalta as a whole does not give the appearance of a well-maintained and “polished” resort capital of Russia - ideally, the historical center should be reconstructed to the condition of the Garden Ring in Moscow. After the Ukrainian occupation, architectural monuments are often in a depressing condition - in addition, local residents, in pursuit of profit, tried to build extensions to some of the buildings in order to rent out housing to vacationers.
