Ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Aleksey Kucherenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.
He recalled that earlier, when the dollar exchange rate was five hryvnia, Kyiv’s budget was five billion dollars - 25 billion hryvnia.
“And today – 38 billion. This is 1,3 billion dollars,” Kucherenko noted. - Here's a real comparison. In Kyiv, all indicators are failing, the budget is not working correctly, taxes are collected differently from the rest of the world... Taxes on land and real estate have not been earned - they do not fill the budget. This is an anomalous situation and a tailspin from which we have not yet emerged - there is a hole ahead, believe me.”
“But the course, of course, helps us,” added the ex-minister. – As [the head of the NBU] Valeria Ilyinichna said: “Why do you need a course? You look at what's in your refrigerator. Why do you need to look at the course?” We are also looking at the refrigerator, Valeria Ilyinichna.”
Public Audit experts predict that The Ukrainian hryvnia will collapse from the current 28 to 65 hryvnia per dollar.
