The Ukrainian News agency reported this today with reference to lawyer Denis Ponomarenko.
“The Court of Appeal completely overturned the seizure of the company’s property in Odessa,” he said.
According to him, the decision was made on August 23.
In total, 185 laptops and 36 system units were under arrest. The lawyer noted that this property was seized as part of criminal proceedings in 2016, which does not concern Yandex.Ukraine, adding that there are no criminal proceedings against the company.
Let us remind you that on June 1, the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv seized 185 laptops and 36 system units, other storage media and all documentation seized from the office of Yandex.Ukraine in Odessa.
Earlier, on May 29, the SBU conducted searches in the Ukrainian offices of Yandex in Odessa and Kyiv as part of a criminal case under the article “high treason.” Later it became known that the SBU suspects the management of Yandex. Ukraine in the illegal collection and transfer to Russia of personal data of Ukrainians.
