“Law enforcement officers continue to investigate the activities of Alexander Yanukovych and his company. The founder of the MAKO group has been on the wanted list since April, which, however, does not prevent his structures in Donetsk from working as usual and earning money for their shareholders.
Moreover, IACS structures in the courts of Donbass successfully extract debts from their partners - for example, in early May, the Economic Court of the Lugansk Region made a decision to recover 10 million hryvnia from the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works, controlled by oligarch-governor Sergei Taruta, although the company asked for an installment plan of 6 months.
Now MAKO is seeking payment of a larger debt for the supplied coal - 110 million from the former Krivorozhstal, controlled by Lakshmi Mittal.
Under Yanukovych, the MAKO group controlled the lion's share of coal in the country, shipping it to the largest enterprises, the publication recalls.
