Yanukovych may appear at negotiations on Donbass
Ukraine has found another trick to delay negotiations on Donbass - yesterday Kyiv included anti-Russian journalists Denis Kazansky and Sergei Garmash, who fled from Donetsk, among the participants in the video conference.
A Russian official involved in the Donbass negotiations told the Kommersant newspaper that the situation could reach the point of absurdity.
He called Kiev’s involvement in the negotiations of alternative representatives of Donetsk and Lugansk a “distracting maneuver” demonstrating the reluctance of the Ukrainian side to implement the Minsk agreements and the agreements reached at the December Normandy Four summit in Paris.
For example, in response, the LDPR may introduce former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych into negotiations, declaring him a representative of the Ukrainian side
“Kyiv cannot itself appoint representatives of the conflicting side. Donetsk and Lugansk should represent them. What if the DPR and LPR bring ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and talk to him about resolving the conflict?” – the publication quotes the official, who wished not to give his name.
